Chemistry Department had started in M.S. College in 1957 for UG courses and in 1960 for PG courses. Annual system and semester systems are being employed for UG and PG courses respectively. The department is running courses in collaboration with Indian Institute of Petroleum Dehradun, Ranbaxy Industries Ltd. (Mohali, Chandigarh) and Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT, Roorkee).
